What exactly is a Boutique hotel? Well they are indivual in that they are different from a chain hotel. They are also different from each other. Confused? Well Boutique hotels offer you that little touch of individuality and personal attention that is so often lacking at a large hotel.


Spa's are a significant feature of most boutique's. Many offer amazing treatments such as facials, massages and body wraps, which use local ingredients, flowers and herbs. Some of these spas even tailor make customized packages to suit individual needs. Many boutique hotels will offer a concierge service for organizing trips and events.

Customer service at boutique hotels is usually exemplary. Boutique's are usually smaller than chain hotels and as such, each guest is rewarded with extra attention. The staff can also live onboard the hotel. Boutique's range in size from 20 -200 room. The average has about 80. The furnishings are usually splendid one off's commissioned from local artists, which in turn reflect the local culture and traditions. The boutique industry is actually thriving. There is no shortage of travellers opting to stay at them. The charming ambience and luxurious amenities are appreciated by their many quests. Couple that with all the latest technology, wireless internet connections, plasma screens and DVD players, spa's, fitness suites and swimming pools, you really have everything you will ever need at your fingertips. Being as a lot of resort boutique's are situated in a busy hub, there are restaurants, nightlife and entertainment to enjoy also. And most offer a concierge service, so someone can book it all for you. With all this and a relaxed homely environment, it's plain to see the bookings will continue to surge at boutique hotels for the forseeable future.
